This is the biggest fundraiser for the Cairns School of Distance education…the school looks after kids in rural properties all over FNQ and also provides funds for the smaller schools en route.

Despite initial reservations, I reckon I can ride 780 kms in 7 days, particularly with the help of the sag wagon. This is a great cause – everyone deserves an education wherever they live, and to boot I’ve never cycled in FNQ and really looking forward to an adventure with a bunch of like minded people.
