780km and over 400m ascent in 7 days, from Cairns to Karumba, on road bikes. Riding up the Kuranda range, past Mareeba and Herberton, Ravenshoe, Mr Garnet, Mt Surprising, via the Newcastle Range to Georgetown, to Croydon via Gilbert River and vast savannah landscapes, racing against the Gulflander train into Normanton, before arriving in Karumba. I know you wish you were doing it too 🙂

Beneficiaries include: Cairns School of Distance Education, State primary schools – including Mt Garnet, Mt Surprise, Georgetown, Croydon, Normanton and Karumba as well as child care centres, sports associations and more.
