This is an awesome challenge ride but also a very worthy fundraiser. Just the small taste of the outback during this ride highlighted for me the many challenges that are faced by people living in the outback.

I am riding Cairns to Karumba (780kms) in June 2023 and raising funds for children in remote Queensland towns. Funds go toward education, health, child care centres and more.

First got into riding approximately 6 years ago. This will be the longest event in time and distance I have taken part in. By taking part in C2k I will be doing my bit to help remote school kids with opportunities that the city kids get. Please donate to this cause to help out. Thanks

Fund Raising
To date, the event has raised over $1,300,000 for various beneficiaries including schools, child care centers, and sports associations. The event’s success is mainly due to the hard work and dedication of its volunteers. https://c2kbikeride.com.au/campaigns/cairns-to-karumba-challenge/
Yet again, I’m leaving my comfortable, comfortably heated house in the middle of winter to head to the heat and sweat that is FNQ all year round to battle distance, Bulldust, Superheroes, Roadies, Queenslanders and crocodiles!
All to provide funding for experiences for bush kids that city kids take for granted.
