Keenan’s Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride V2
Some of the work of this charity does supports educational opportunities in remote areas of Queensland. It provides resources for students to learn and continue to live on the land. Before kids, my wife and I did a lap around Australia with a mt bikes, riding in various locations. Now with raising our two beautiful girls in suburbia, we have access to all the schools and resources we could ever want. We try to expose our girls to life beyond the “burbs” by taking them camping and to working farms. Getting up to ride every morning on this adventure, will mean a fair share of sore muscles, bum chafe, wind burn and cold fingers. My fitness program dissolved in teh past year, so getting back into training for an event this, is the kind of motivation I needed. Riding helps to maintain balance amongst the chaos that sometimes comes up at home with running kids around, supervising an apprentice and securing the next building job. Thanks for helping me to help others.
