I hope Mohammed Ali was right when he said ‘Nothing is impossible’ because the annual Cairns to Karumba bike ride (June 22 – 28) will be a personal challenge of truly tough proportions demanding an average of 110kms plus per day across the hot, dry and glorious Savannah of FNQ.
I’m excited and determined to enjoy the heck out of this adventure, and am training with gusto to ensure I reach the finish post full of beans.
But there’s a far more meaningful reason for taking on this challenge!
The ride aims to raise much needed funds to help address the significant challenges experienced by children living in remote communities, by providing them with opportunities to achieve greater educational outcomes.
If you are able, and care about this important cause, I’d hugely appreciate you cheering me on to the finish line by donating ANY amount possible for you. Donations need to be received by June 12.
