Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride Accommodation Options for Participants
Camping is included in your registration fee. However, if you prefer not to camp, there are several alternative places to stay at the end of each day on the Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride.
Staying Outside Rodeo Grounds
If you would rather stay off-site, you are welcome to book local motels, hotels, or other accommodation.

All bookings and payments for off-site stays are the responsibility of each participant.

Because accommodation in small outback towns is limited, rooms can fill quickly. Therefore, we strongly recommend booking early.
Accommodation at the Finish – Karumba Point
The ride concludes at 2pm in Karumba Point. After the ride, participants must arrange their own accommodation for Friday 3 July 2026.
You can choose to:

Book a hotel, motel or other local accommodation. As a result of high demand, early booking is essential.

Camp overnight at the Karumba Recreation Centre, located approximately 8 km from the Sunset Tavern.
Transport Between Locations
To make the finish as easy as possible, transport is provided.

A bus will run on Friday afternoon, transporting riders from Karumba Point to the Sports Centre.

In addition, the same bus will take riders to the Sunset Tavern for the celebration dinner on Friday evening.

NRMA Atherton Tablelands Holiday Park – Atherton
Recover from the first leg of the ride at the NRMA Atherton Tablelands Holiday Park with heaps of room to pitch your tent in the beautiful grassy grounds. The area allocated to our event is clearly marked. Alternatively, you may wish to contact park management and book a cabin or a powered site.
The Holiday Park offers use of facilities including showers and toilets. Our fantastic Road Kill Kitchen Crew will be dishing up dinner from the main area.
Power is available to charge devices and will be set up by C2K HQ team.
If you wish to stay elsewhere on the first night, please do let your pack leader know so that they don’t leave without you the next morning!!
