C2K Dirt Ride 2027
The Dirt Ride is back!
We’re excited to welcome the C2K Dirt Ride back for the 30th Anniversary Cardzilla Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride in 2027.
The Dirt Ride offers a very different way to experience C2K, taking riders off the bitumen and through some incredible North Queensland landscapes, including sections of private property, national parks and remote outback terrain.
Places on the Dirt Ride are strictly limited and, to ensure we have the right mix of riders and bikes for the conditions, participation will be through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process.
Is the Dirt Ride for you?
The C2K Dirt Ride is a community ride, not a race.
It is a mixed-ability ride, but participants need to have the riding experience, fitness and bike capability required for a challenging multi-day event across varied and sometimes rough terrain.
Just as importantly, we are looking for riders who embrace the spirit of C2K.
Stronger and more experienced riders will be expected to support those with less experience when needed, helping us keep the group together, ride safely and ensure everyone arrives at key milestone locations as a group.
Because parts of the route travel through private properties and national parks, all riders must respect the land, follow the directions of the Dirt Ride Managers and ride responsibly at all times.
How to join the 2027 Dirt Ride
Participation in the Dirt Ride is a two-step process:
1. Submit your Expression of Interest
Complete the online EOI and tell us a little about your riding experience and the bike you intend to bring. You will also be asked to upload a photo of your bike.
2. EOI review
Every Expression of Interest will be reviewed by the C2K Dirt Ride Committee to assess rider experience and bike suitability.
3. We’ll be in touch
You will be notified of the outcome of your EOI within 48 hours.
4. Successful riders will be invited to register
If your EOI is successful, we’ll send you an invitation to complete your official C2K Dirt Ride registration and secure your place.
Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a place on the Dirt Ride. Your place is only confirmed once your EOI has been approved and your C2K registration and payment have been completed.
Ready to hit the dirt?
If you’re ready for seven days of adventure, camaraderie and some spectacular off-road riding across Far North Queensland, we’d love to hear from you.
